Most amazing lobster roll on Nantucket Island! Every summer is always the best and the freshest lobster ever. Service is fast, attentive, and professional. Ambiance is a little lively sometimes but the music is always bumping and you'll always have an amazing time. Recommend when visiting nantucket.

Loved the vibe here. Was a great place to celebrate a birthday with friends. The food was beautifully presented, nice portion sizes and absolutley delicious. We ordered a seafood tower and the shrimp were the largest I have ever seen. I couldn't even finish them. I loved my tiki rum drink served with a little "Cru" umbrella. The pistachio soft serve was enough to serve and something I will be dreaming about for a long time to come.

Best meal I had in Nantucket! Got the lobster roll and Greek salad, both amazing. Had a beautiful water front view, and the servers were the sweetest

I could give 6 stars based on how amazing our experience was. Why does CRU have such low reviews? The restaurant has service on par to that of a Michelin star's. From start to finish, staff was incredibly attentive and kind. They wipe down the table after appetizers, entrees, and they even fold your napkin for you when you leave the table. Food is crazy good. Drinks are even better. I highly, highly, highly recommend ordering their crucomber (?). I'm pretty sure it's their classic cocktail, and you wouldn't think that vodka and cucumber would be a great combination, but wow. So refreshing and light. I could drink like 10 of these. It's lightly sweetened as well, and it's just such a well made drink. We ordered focaccia, crudo, lobster roll, clam spaghetti, some oysters, and clam chowder. Our favorites have to be the lobster roll and the clam chowder. Like holy hell, both were some of the best I've ever had. Flavor is incredible, and they definitely pack on the lobster. Is this establishment pricey? Certainly, but you're also in Nantucket. Truly a phenomenal experience.

I love oysters, and CRU had the absolute best oysters I've ever tried. Nantucket is known for their seafood, and this may be the best establishment to try them. The price is correspondent with the degree of friendly and knowledge service they provide here, in addition to the wonderful view of the sunset and the boat docks. CRU is also the only place on the island that stocks size 8 jumbo shrimp I highly recommend trying them.

Cru is the "it" spot on Nantucket. You can drive your boat up and park, but call the harbor master first. Parking is not free. We sat outside this time. I have sat indoors before and they keep the doors open and the breeze is incredible, as it is right on the water. The servers are very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The food comes out very quickly and is delicious. I had a lobster roll. My husband had a cheeseburger. We also shared some little necks and oysters. Most of the tables outside have ample shade. They also had a high chair to accommodate my toddler. The food is priced fairly high, but what isn't on Nantucket?

The most amazing food and it is pricey but well worth it! We we're just planning to have a dozen oysters then going elsewhere for the main dinner. We had the best Nantucket oysters (Fifth Bend and Pocomo Meadow) I've ever tried which made us realize we should just stay to have a full course dinner. We had the best Sommelier who chose a really great French wine. We had the crab cake which was mostly crab versus breading which is the way it's supposed to be. Then we had the Lobster Fra Diavolo and the special which was pasta scallops with caviar. The desserts were divine ice cream and chocolate mousse. The service was very top-notch and the view is a Great view of the port. This is a good place to dine for all occasions.

Yes, it's harder to get a reservation here, but somehow we end up at Cru most every summer. The drinks are refreshing, service attentive, and very lively atmosphere- especially in the front room. While the lobster roll and salmon entrees were good, the standout dishes are always the shared plates and small apps. My tip: skip the entrees. Enjoy the cocktails and oysters and load up on the small plates. (Yes, it's expensive, but tbh, we are on Nantucket and everything else is too).
